예술 현장에서는 물론이고 여러 분야에 걸쳐 우리의 많은 것들이 세계적인 주목을 받으며, 과거 세대와는 전혀 다른 새로운 관점과 방식으로 우리 자신을 바라보도록 요청받고 있다. 그래서 이번 전시에 참여한 다섯 명의 작가는 ‘한국화’, ‘한국의 미’, ‘한국적인 것’이라는 명제에서 벗어나 지금을 살아가는 우리에게 유효한 가치를 지니고 있는 본질을 모색하고 고정된 하나의 틀에 안주하거나 얽매이지 않는 창작의 모습을 보여주고 있다. 국화의 뿌리를 가진 작가들의 동시대 미술(contemporary art) 작업에 주목해 꾸준히 전시를 이어온 갤러리마리가 한국미술이 세계미술의 또 다른 자양분이 되리라 확신하며 김근중, 김선두, 김천일, 신하순, 이용순 5인의 작가와 함께 기획전 ‘Simple & Calm : 수수덤덤’전을 내년 1월 26일까지 개최한다.

델이 몰고 온 훈풍에 AI 반도체·서버 기업들의 주가도 덩달아 크게 올랐다. 엔비디아 주가는 전장보다 4.0% 오른 822.79달러에 마감했으며, 종가 기준으로 이 회사의 시총은 2조569억7500만달러(약 2748조원)를 기록했다. 엔비디아 시총은 지난 23일 장중 2조달러를 넘어섰다가 종가 기준으로 내려간 바 있는데, 이후 일주일 만에 종가 기준 최초로 2조달러를 돌파했다. 시총 순위는 마이크로소프트와 애플에 이어 3위다.
엔비디아 칩으로 서버를 만드는 또 다른 기업 슈퍼마이크로 컴퓨터의 주가도 이날 4.5% 상승했다. AI 랠리를 타고 있는 다른 반도체 기업 브로드컴과 마벨 테크놀로지도 각각 7.6%, 8.3% 올랐다. 엔비디아의 경쟁사인 AMD 주가도 5.3% 상승했다.
